For this part, you are allowed 30 minutes to write a letter to a company declining a job offer. You should write at least 150 words following the outline given below:
A Letter Declining a Job Offer Dear Mr. White, I want to express my appreciation for your job offer. Thank you for discussing the details of the position with me and giving me some time to consider your offer. You have a great company and the position is really appealing to me. However, I am afraid I cannot accept your kind offer. After serious consideration, I have decided to accept a similar position of another firm on the west coast. I believe this position will better fit my interests and my future goal to apply to law schools in that region. This has been a difficult decision for me to make, but I believe it is the most appropriate one for my career at this time. I sincerely hope that my choice won’t cause much inconvenience to you. Thank you for your consideration. I’m sure you will soon find a well-qualified candidate for the position. Yours sincerely, Li Ming
