The polar bear looks apprehensive since the ice is dwindling every second in spite of its last effort of holding on a sunshade. It is shockingly apparent that this cartoon aims to arouse our awareness of the devastating consequences of the ever soaring temperature, or simply speaking the issue of global warming. Owing to the rising global temperature, the icebergs in the South as well as North Pole are melting at an unprecedented and alarming rate. It is reported that the sea level is mounting at a rate of 1.1 meters per year due to the melting icebergs. A case in point will visualize and highlight this urgent issue that the renowned city of Venice would have been overwhelmed by seawater by the end of this century if the sea level does not cease to rise at the present pace. Therefore, a growing number of people come to realize the necessity of alleviating and solving this issue. One major measure is to cut down the carbon emission. However, it is only by united efforts of everyone dwelling on the earth that our planet can be redeemed, so can our lives.
