答案
On College Students’ Renting Houses Outside Campus [1] According to a recent survey, about 20 percent of college students now live in houses they rent outside campus and some students plan to join them. In these small kingdoms, [2] they say, they can enjoy more freedom than on campus. [3] It is undeniable that many dormitories are [4] far from satisfactory because they are small, shabby, noisy, stuffy in summer and cold in winter. However, [5] the merits of living on campus outweigh its demerits. By sharing a room with others, one learns how to understand and help each other. Through daily communication with roommates, one is better informed, [6] thus enjoying more advice than outside campus. [7] Besides, a lot of educational facilities are at hand on campus and the accommodation fee is much lower than the monthly rent. [8] Certainly, if you rent a well-furnished room, you may live more comfortably and freely, but you ate often lonely and insecure for lack of companions. [9] Worse still, you may sometimes abuse your freedom and even commit crimes. [10] As is often said, every advantage has its disadvantage. Living outside campus [11] is no exception. Dormitory life, [12] though a bit undesirable, is precious to every college student. [13] Therefore, I suggest those living outside campus move back to campus for a real college life.
