The chart suggests that job-hopping is common in the surveyed industry. As a whole, all employees have ever hopped from one job to another. Most of them change jobs within 4 times. 6.37% of them leave their jobs for 4 to 8 times, followed by 1.37% for more than 8 times. Why do people change their jobs? To begin with, money can be the driving factor, especially if the salary is less than the average and one cannot make ends meet. Another reason can be getting away from a "bad" boss who may not give a chance for the employee to voice, learn, and grow. Besides, employees would be inclined to look for a new job if the current workplace blocks or limits the opportunities for advancement. As far as I can see, people are entitled to make a career change. But they should watch out that they do not turn themselves into serial job-hoppers who may have their careers hurt.
