Usually the grandparents, parents and the grandchildren live together. But the families abroad are small ones. There are only father, mother and their children in the family. The Chinese families are proud of their hospitality. They welcome their friends very warmly to visit their homes if it is convenient and like very much to entertain them with delicious foods. But the family life abroad is busy, so the foreigners sometimes don’t like the visitors to come to their homes. If necessary, they would like to entertain them in restaurants. The Chinese families are unifiable, but the families abroad are various. They are monogamy families, polygamy families, single-parent families, lesbian families, gay families and so on. These different kinds of families abroad add colours to our modern world.
