There is a strange phenomenon that many college students passed college English tests, and some even with high scores, but they could not properly communicate with foreigners, nor can they translate between languages, let alone write well in English. Where do the problems lie? Write a composition giving your opinion about the problems. You should write at least 120 words.

答案
First of all, English teaching at college is commonly teacher-centered, turning a language class into a knowledge class. It is very common in the classroom that the teacher explains every language point in detail, while students take notes all the time. Secondly, the language used in many teaching materials is artificial, not coming from real life. Also, a lot of grammar and structure exercises lead to students memorizing a language vocabulary and a lot of English rules. And what’s more, there has been no environment of practicing in colleges. Now, it is time to improve our English urgently. On the one hand, we should lay our emphasis on training the students’ ability to use English. On the other, we should make a better environment of English learning, such as the training of teachers, making full use of English corner. Finally, the students should do practice as often as possible.
