The Kenya President Mwai Kibaki has appealed for patience while allegations of corruption against senior government officials are investigated. His call came as the Energy Minister Kiraitu Murungi and the Education Minister George Saitoti resigned after being named in connection with two corruption scandals. In a nationwide broadcast, President Kibaki said the men wanted the opportunity to prove their innocence.
