For this part, you are allowed 30 minutes to write an essay on the use of cyber language. Try to imagine what will happen when more and more people use cyber language instead of the traditional language we use in everyday life. You are required to write at least 150 words but no more than 200 words.

答案
Talking on the Internet has become quite common nowadays. And where there is communication, there is language. Cyber language originating from dialects, slangs and abbreviations is often used in online communication. Yet different people have different opinions on the new language phenomenon. Supporters for cyber language hold the belief that language is always developing and it needs folk wisdom. Meanwhile, they admire the creation of the new words which reflect current social issues. Additionally, many consider cyber language as vivid and friendly since they can use the language in a flexible way. However, there are a large number of people describing cyber language as rude and vulgar. They worry that if we use more words of cyber language, young generations in the future would become vulnerable to cyberspace’s influence. Based on the above statements, I think we should absorb the fine new words and expressions in cyber language to ensure the reasonable development of our language. But it would not change the predominant role the traditional standard Chinese language plays in our life.
