答案　　I’d like to talk about a band I’ve always adored since junior high, The Cranberries, a pop rock band from Ireland. 　　The band has four members: Dolores O’Riordan as the lead singer, a guitarist, a bass player and a drummer. Its songs are categorized as pop rock or alternative rock, because the composers incorporate other music styles such as indie pop and Irish folk in its music. The band was widely popular among young people in the 90s all over the world. But it wasn’t until Hong Kong singer Faye Wong did a cover version of its song "Dream" in Cantonese lyrics in the mid-90s that the band became well-known among Chinese fans. 　　I think most of its fans are primarily drawn to Dolores’ angel-like singing voice, which was the icon of the band. In its music videos, Dolores has short, black hair and looks suspicious and melancholy, but when she sings, her beautiful voice brings great comfort to every listener. The Cranberries writes songs about social problems, such as violence, conflict, religion, etc. and encourages its audience to think about these matters seriously. Its songs appeal to young generations. I particularly admire its music, simple in melody and chord arrangement, but powerful in the message it tries to send to the audience. My all time favourite is its song "Ode to My Family". The lyrics make up a melodious poem that leads me to the deep reflection of kinship. Sadly, Dolores O’Riordan has passed away. I cried at this sad news. This is, indeed, a great loss to her fans and the entire music industry.
