Under this context, I think colleges should offer more courses on contemporary culture. First of all, more courses on contemporary culture will help students develop a discerning taste. Faced with different sources of information, students are usually confused about what to choose. This would not be the case, if students take the course of contemporary culture and undertake an in-depth analysis about the nature of contemporary culture. By understanding and analyzing the fabrics of the ever-changing culture, students are provided with clues to make their own judgments. Secondly, more courses on contemporary culture could get students get more motivated in the study. As some of the students complained, classics courses are usually delivered in a boring manner, which discourage students from getting involved.
