答案 What Should We Do to Prevent Pirated Products? Nowadays more and more rampant is piracy, which has permeated every corner of our society. Pirated products can be seen here and there. There are all sorts of pirated products such as pirated programs, books, cassettes, and CDs. It can be said that piracy has become a serious social problem faced by our country and the international community at large. Why is piracy more and more rampant? In my opinion, there are many reasons for this but the main three are as follows: First, pirates are motivated by their interests. They can become very wealthy in a very short period of time as long as they succeed in manufacturing and selling their products. Second, many consumers enjoy buying them because they are very inexpensive. Their behavior undoubtedly fosters piracy. Last but not least, pirates give bribes to some government officials whose mission is to crack down on piracy. They take pirates’ bribes and look the other way when pirated products come into their view. Piracy is very harmful because it severely encroaches on the original author’s copyright and prevents quality products from selling well. I am firmly against piracy. The following are my suggestions concerning cracking down on piracy. First, refuse to purchase pirated products. If consumers do not buy them, pirates will lose their market. Second, governments at all levels should cooperate with each other to place pirates and their activities under surveillances. Let pirates go bankrupt if they dare to produce and sell pirated products.
