In this part of the test you are asked to give a short talk on a business topic. You have to choose one of the topics from the three below and then talk for about one minute. You have one minute to prepare your idea.

If you are mad, that will only make your boss mad and don’t let particular concern open the floodgate for all accumulated frustration. Your boss has enough on his mind without your adding more. People who frequently present problems without solutions to their bosses may soon find they can’t get pass the secretary. Before you argue with your boss, check with the boss’ secretary to determine his mood. If he ate nails for breakfast, it is not a good idea to ask him for something. And even without the boss’ secretary, there are keys to timing; don’t approach the boss when he’s on deadline; don’t go in fight before launch, when he is apt to be distracted and rushed. Also remember, don’t go in just before of after he has taken a vacation. And I think the most important thing is to consider your boss’ goals and his positions. If you can put yourself in the position of being a partner to the boss, then he will be naturally more inclined to work with you to achieve your goals. A simple pricing method is to cover all the expenses spent on research and development, production, promotion etc. to decide on the price tag. Further more, a markup would be added on the costs to make a profit. Nobody is willing to sell something at a loss. But since demand is price sensitive, when our strategy is to gain market share in a short period of time, price war is often turned into account. One of the assignments for our sales department is to estimate how much people are ready to pay for a certain product. Questionnaires and telephone interviews are usually employed to analyze the market. Potential consumer groups are segmented by their income and family status. Innovative products sold at a lofty price would go begging for a long time. People just flinch from buying them before a wait-and-see attitude.
