According to a recent survey conducted by China Daily, the proportion of parents sparing much money to find private tutors has reached as high as 88.3 percent. To begin with, people are (3) attaching greater importance to education and expecting higher of their children. What’ s more, as private tutoring is usually (4) one-to-one, the teacher knows the strong points as well as the weak points of their pupils and may help them improve study performance more easily. However, private tutoring has its own disadvantages. It takes up so much of the pupils’ time that they can hardly find enough time for rest and entertainment.
