A: Could you tell me about this new oven cleaner? I’ve never used a cleaner before. I usually do it by hand.
B: Oh, this makes it much easier. This is a special new product. It’s different from a lot of other oven cleaners because with this one the oven doesn’t have to be heated before you use it.
A: I see. So it can be used while the oven is cold.
B: That’s right.
A: And how do you use it?
B: It’s very easy. It won’t hurt your skin, so it can be used without having to put on rubber gloves.
A: I see. Is it a kind of paste or a spray then?
B: It’s a thick spray. It’s just sprayed on the sides of the oven and on the oven trays.
A: That’s all that has to be done?
B: Not quite. After the oven is sprayed thoroughly, the door of the oven is closed and you turn the oven on to about 475°.
A: I see. It has to be very hot.
B: That’s right.
A: And how long do you leave the oven on?
B: Oh, just for half an hour. Then turn the oven off and let it cool.
A: And the dirt is all gone?
B: Not yet. But now the dirt can be removed very easily with a wet cloth.
A: I guess it does sound much easier than doing it by hand.
B: That’s for sure.
