(2) Careful reading Ask students to read the text for the third time and answer the following questions: ① What are the advantages of living with local families? ② What’s the purpose of the passage? Step 3 Post-reading (8 minutes) Students will be divided into groups of four. Half of groups are to discuss the advantages of learning English abroad and half to discuss the advantages of learning at home. Then, they can have a debate. Finally, the teacher gives a conclusion and lists useful methods of learning English. (Justification: This activity is to practice students’ speaking and logical thinking ability and it can also enlighten students on proper ways to learn English.)
