By Xia Hui Compared with the traditional exam-oriented education, the quality-oriented education is expected to pro mote the students’ all-round development. That’s why this new teaching pattern should be carried out. The advantages of quality education are quite obvious. First, it lessens the students’ pressure. Students used to suffer a heavy pressure which comes from demanding parents and teachers, endless homework and formidable exams. Cramming method of teaching is found popular, which is certainly not efficient in the long run. Second, it offers the students more spare time for their real interest. Students used to be told not to spend much time on their own likings. They were supposed to concentrate on nothing but text books. Nowadays, thanks to quality education, the students’ horizon is greatly broadened. As a result of quality education, students are becoming more and more capable and creative. And that’s just what our society really calls for.
