. Why do you think ordinary people are interested in the lives of famous people? I think ordinary people are interested in the lives of famous people because they would like to see what a different life could be. Famous people usually have a lot of money and live a luxurious life. They may have private jets and big houses with swimming pools. This is very different from the lives of ordinary people. So people would like to see how famous people live. I think ordinary people also like to know the gossip and scandals of celebrities. For example, the British people are always interested to know all the details about the life of the royal family. . How has the development of economy affected the natural and the urban environment in your country? Economic development has greatly changed the natural and the urban environment in China. For the natural environment, factories occupy fields and pollute rivers and air. Trees are chopped down and never replanted again. Seas are reclaimed to build more real estate. The area of nature is shrinking to make room for urbanization. On the other hand, the urban environment in big cities has become more and more identical. Because of the urbanization movement, entertainment places such as Starbucks, fancy shopping malls and cinemas have swept the country. Now most metropolises are . How can people improve their health while living a busy modern life? The modern lifestyle often tempts us to do things that we know aren’t good for our health. Luckily, there’re ways we can follow to go back on a healthy track. For example, we can start from daily meals. Nowadays thousands of recipe apps share healthy ways to cook. They can, to some extent, help us cook more at home and eat less outside. We could also join clubs that promote healthy living habits, such as gym clubs or yoga clubs. Having more friends to remind and encourage us to work out can make us stay active. Last but not least, we can ask for professional opinions from doctors or gym coaches. They can help us set different goals to monitor our lifestyle, such as alcohol intake limit or jogging hours per week. People should really take actions to improve health because good health is priceless. . How do you think employment can be promoted in your country? I would suggest three solutions to promote employment. First, industries in the tertiary sector require a huge number of employees. So policies should be made to encourage their development. Second, the urbanization in less developed areas needs more work force and talents to build infrastructure and provide services. So we should encourage people to seek jobs in the less developed areas. Third, the government should support and encourage people to start their own business or take on newly created vocations. Many jobs didn’t exist 10 years ago, such as Wechat writers, but they’ve become major content providers on Wechat today. We can be more creative when it comes to competing in the job market. . How important is job satisfaction? Job satisfaction is extremely important because it’s directly linked to work efficiency and work quality. From the employees’ perspective, high job satisfaction increases their work rate because working in the environment they like can enhance their loyalty to the company. And they will work hard for the company’s benefit because they believe it’s where their own benefit lies. From the employers’ perspective, high job satisfaction can be translated into lower turnover, which in the long run, significantly reduces the company’s operation cost. Job satisfaction is like glue that connects employees together to build the strongest team in the market. So every company should think ways to improve their employees’ job satisfaction. . How difficult is it for working mothers to balance work and life? I think working mother is the toughest job in the world and it sounds nearly impossible to balance her work and life. First, working mothers need to handle their guilt of spending less time on their kids, especially when their kids are still toddlers or facing the turn in their growth, such as starting to go to school. Working moms have to cut their time with kids to write work report. Second, working moms come home after work to find their "life" is still full of chores. They have less and less time on their own and it feels like their freedom from "on duty" is taken away. It would really exhaust a woman physically and mentally. In conclusion, working mothers need help from their partners, employers and even the society to make their life easier.
