Suppose a foreign friend of yours wants to experience a traditional Chinese festival, which festival is the most interesting one you would like to introduce to him/her and why?
选项
答案
The Spring Festival ①If a foreign friend of mine would like to experience a traditional Chinese festival, the Spring Festival, ②a fresh start of a new lunar year for all the Chinese, will be at the top of the list of my recommendation. ③There are three major reasons for my recommendation. ④To begin with, as the very first day of the first lunar month, the Spring Festival, also called Chinese New Year, is of great significance to Chinese people, for during the festival all the Chinese spare no efforts to gather at home. ⑤Moreover, the special food for the festival is dumplings, which I suppose a host of foreigners desire to have a taste. ⑥Last but not least, watching the Spring Festival Gala, a traditional program of CCTV, is also an indispensable part for Chinese families during the festival. Foreigners can have an in-depth understanding of China after watching the Spring Festival Gala. ⑦In conclusion, the Spring Festival is of course the most proper event for my friend to experience in terms of its unique status in Chinese culture as well as its fantastic atmosphere. 1.M:Prof. Kennedy has been very busy this semester. As far as I know, he works until midnight every day.
