答案 With the fast growing of the Chinese economy, China has become a big foreign trade country in the last decade. As is shown in the chart, the foreign trade increased slowly before 1978. After 1978, the economy has gained rapid development, and it demanded import of high-technology product which in turn promoted its development. China is now capable of providing the world market with a variety of high quality products. It is the "open door" policy that has brought about the prosperity. After 1986, especially, China made a very few big decisions, which included opening up many coastal cities to overseas investors, encouraging private business and promoting cultural exchange and cooperation. As a result, joint ventures and private companies mushroomed everywhere in China. Foreign investment and advanced technology flowed in. The Chinese people are confident that a more open China has a bright future. This year, China has decided to open, its doors wider than ever before to the world. Stable and constant increase is expected in foreign trade.
