Very soon thick black smoke started to come into their room and there was (12)hardly any air. Their lives were in danger. The mother opened the door (13)only to find that the hah way was also full of smoke. She ran to the telephone to call for help but the line was (14)dead.Then she put wet towel over her daughter’s face and her own so that they could (15)breathe. Later firefighters lowered a rope from the hotel roof to their window level and pulled them up to the roof. Eighty four people were killed in the fire and fortunately they were saved.
