   “Come in, please,” says Mr. Black. “You are five minutes late this morning, Lucy. It is the fourth time this week.” The girl often makes some excuses when she is late for class.    “But why don’t you take an earlier bus?”
   “I just take the earlier bus. But it’s no use. The later bus often overtakes the earlier one!” answers Lucy.
