How can new staff be helped to settle into their jobs? (Why? / Why not? )

选项

答案Suggested answers: Candidate A: I think new staff can be helped to settle into their jobs through on-the-job training or in-service training program. In addition, they can also be put in a mentoring programme. Mentoring is a system where people with a lot of experience, knowledge and so on advise and help other people at work or young people preparing for work. Candidate B: New staff can choose to take part in the mentoring programme. I am sure many fresh employees are interested in the mentoring program because it would help them to develop professionally. Candidate C: If a new staff takes part in the mentoring program, he/she shall be paired with an experienced employee. The old staff may pass their valuable experiences on to the young. When the young staff gets into difficulty of solving problems, the old shall help him/her by describing how he / she had dealt with such problems, or by encouraging him/her to consider alternative courses of action.
