As a consequence, many citizens stand out against the hectic pace of life and appeal for a relaxed way of life, for it is good for people’s physical and mental health. However, those against slowing down the pace of life believe that the fast rhythm of life can improve working efficiency, prolong leisure time and expand social circles. Personally speaking, I hold the view that people can make decisions by themselves according to then-own conditions since either of these two lifestyles has both merits and demerits. For one thing, for those who are trying hard to climb the top of the social ladder, they need to keep improving their competitiveness and every minute is too valuable for them to waste. For another, the dream-job seekers who are burnt out by the frenetic pace of life may want to retreat to a quieter corner of the world where the pace of life is slower. Then they can have time to enjoy nature, food, and communication with people around them. In conclusion, choose your lifestyle wisely and you can certainly find happiness in your choice.
