With the development of our society, the automobile industry has enjoyed a continuous boom in the past ten years. An increasing number of the private cars have entered the homes. Driving on private cars has become very popular in our life because it provides us with much convenience and efficiency. For quite a lot of people, a private car has become a necessity. This phenomenon reflects the higher living standard of Chinese people and the e-conomic prosperity of our country. However, this has given rise to some problems. The upward trend for China’s auto has contributed to the traffic congestion so greatly. Therefore, the convenience is often offset by the frustration caused by traffic jams. At the same time, more and more poisonous gas is given off by the cars which does great harm to people’s health. In my opinion, on one hand, people should be aware of the pollution and the traffic problems. They should try to choose the public transportation instead of the private cars. On the other hand, our government and relevant administrative department ought to discourage the use of automobiles and put more emphasis on the protection of the environment.
