    信件中日期的年份应完全写出。月份必须用英文名称，不能用数字代替。月份名称可缩写：Jan.，Feb.，Mar.，Oct.，Nov.，Dec.，但May，June，July不用缩写。
    在未知联系人或收信人时，亦可用Dear Sir or Madam concerned。英式商函多用Dear Sirs，美式商函多用Gentlemen。英文函件的特点是简洁，应在信的开头明确写信的目的，不必过分寒喧。
