What is indicated in the drawing is most meaningful and thought-provoking. The implied meaning of the drawing can be analyzed and stated in terms of students’ state of mind and current education on campus. On the one hand, it appears that some students lack a clear orientation of study. Some students are very selfish and self-centred. They only care their own benefits and interests. Making money and self-development are considered as their ultimate goals of study. Their daily study is permeated with money-orientedness. On the other hand, our current education on campus lacks the cultivation of students’ spirit and shaping of their soul. Academic work is put on the top of our education agenda. High score is regarded as the most important standard in evaluation of students’ development. As a result, some students separate their study from the prosperity of our nation. In one word, we can no longer ignore the students’ negative state of mind and the deficiency of our current education. In my view, some urgent measures must be taken so as to reverse the grim trend reflected in the drawing. To begin with, an education campaign should be launched in order for students to establish a noble objective of study. In addition, government departments at different levels should put more value on the cultivation of students’ spirit and soul. Only in these ways can we embrace a promising future of our nation and ensure the healthy development of our society.
