And you can’ t force happiness to happen—but you can make sure you are fully aware of its presence whenever it does. Happiness is an attitude, not a condition. It is attending the interesting lectures of well-known professors, or spending a pleasant hour answering your E-mail while listening to a soft music. Happiness is there in your family reunion, gossip of your mother, and mischief of the kids. It is in the present, not in the distant promise of a "someday when ...". How much luckier we are, and how much more happiness we experience, if we can fall in love with the life we are living. Happiness is a choice. It associates with sunshine, bird singing, and modern comfort as well as with good health, creative work and helping others. Reach out for it at any moment it appears and you will have a life lighted with the radiant colors of hopes.
