问题     The Inspector of Schools arrived yesterday morning, and he spent the whole day 【B1】 the classes. The Headmaster had told us a few days 【B2】 that he was coming. I think the Head- master was very 【B3】 classes, 【B4】 the teacher over and over again what they must 【B5】 and examined the boys himself to see 【B6】 they were ready for the Inspector. He seemed very 【B7】 all the time, and told us in our class that we were 【B8】 fools and would be sure to make him 【B9】 face before the Inspector.
    All 【B10】 made us very nervous; and when the Inspector wandered into our class, we were all 【B11】 with fright. I felt that all I 【B12】 knew had gone clean out of my head. The Inspector is a tall man. He 【B13】 glasses and always looks very strict. He 【B14】 examining the class in English, and I was the very 【B15】 boy he called up to read. I felt very nervous, but I man- aged to get through without any bad mistakes. Some of the other boys, 【B16】 , did not do so well, and the Inspector looked serious, though he did not say much.
    We got along better 【B17】 History and Geography, but when it came to Maths he set us some very hard problems to solve which we 【B18】 to do; so he looked very black at our teacher. Our teacher was very angry with us afterwards, but I am sure we should have done 【B19】 if we had not been so frightened. I think I should like to be an inspector when I grow up, because everyone would be 【B20】 of me.
