The phenomenon of wasting food on campus conveyed in the drawing is widespread and should arouse the concern of our society. The main purpose of the painter of the drawing can be briefly analyzed in the following two aspects. To begin with, the sense of frugality needs to be cultivated on campus. Some people never think before they do and never care what they do. Though they are still not economically independent, they often spend spree. The wasting of food is just one of their wasting actions. As a result, the traditional virtue of frugality is being lost. What’ s more, due attention should be paid to the campus waste. Since some people fail to realize the importance of living a simple life, they unconsciously cause a great deal of waste in almost very detail of their actions. Campus wasting of food, water and power is alarming. Since our country is still a developing nation, such wasting poses a threat to the sustainable development of China. In short, the honor of frugality and simple life must be enhanced. In my view, some necessary measures must be taken so as to reverse the grim campus situation. On the one hand, a wide spread education campaign should be launched to popularize the virtue of frugality. On the other hand, laws and regulations should be set up to punish those who waste.
