What did the visit of Ms. Clinton aim at?

President Barack Obama is sending Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton to Burma next month. The historic diplomatic effort is aimed at increasing political reform in the country. Ms. Clinton’s visit to Burma will be the first visit to the country by an American Secretary of State in more than 50 years. Mr. Obama made the announcement in Bali, Indonesia on Friday. He said the United States has seen evidence of political progress in Burma after many years of military rule. The President said Secretary Clinton will explore what the United States can do to support political reform, human rights and national unity. Ms. Clinton will travel to Burma on December 1st and 2nd.
