Hobbies Using one’s spare time to pursue a hobby can bring various rewards. A hobby provides relaxation for leisure hours. Take collection for example, just looking at one’s treasure is always a job. One does not have to go outside for amusement, since the collection is housed at home. It can be something from which we learn more about ourselves or about the world. Hobbies educate one not only in the chosen subject, but also in general matters which have some bearing on it. Hobbies may lead to travel, possibly a trip abroad in search of a rare specimen, for collectors are not confined to any one country. Someday you may become the expert in the field. In choosing a hobby flint will be well suited to our individual needs we have to take account of several factors. The hobby must suit the amount of free time we have to spend on it and the amount of money we have to buy equipment or other things we need. We may also wish to choose a hobby we can pursue alone or one we share with others. However, there are a great many hobbies to choose from. Some people enjoy collection stamps, coins, china, antique furniture and toy animals, others choose to spend their time on sports or music, etc. There are creative hobbies such as painting or model making for those who wish to do something with their hands. All of these can provide us with the rewards that hobby brings.
