For this part, you are allowed 30 minutes to write a short essay entitled Adversity Often Leads to Prosperity by commenting on an ancient Roman writer Horace’s famous remark, " Adversity reveals genius; fortune conceals it. " You should write at least 150 words but no more than 200 words.

答案
Adversity Often Leads to Prosperity Life is always a mixture of sadness and happiness. When confronted with adversity, some people sink and others overcome it with constant painstaking struggle. The latter will henceforth have intense passion and tremendous determination to overcome any difficulty on their way to the prosperity. Jack Ma is a good case in point to illustrate that adversity often leads to prosperity. He had suffered a lot before he made his fortune. He says his success grows from the fertile soil of adversity of his early years. On the contrary, those who haven’t experienced the adversity are to some extent content with the present life, and they aren’t determined to break up these pleasant days to venture into some unknown fields. Therefore, they mostly couldn’t bring their potential into full play. Actually, life is just like a spring, the heavier you push it, the higher it will jump. In adversity, while pessimists think it comes to the end of the world, optimists remain cheerful. We should remember that adversity reveals genius and fortune conceals it, which will give us some encouragement when we are in trouble.
