Its exquisite collection of ancient Chinese bronze, ceramics, calligraphy and painting are specially celebrated both at home and abroad. Founded and first open to the public in 1952, the museum developed very quickly and distinguished itself in aspects of acquisition, conservation, research, exhibition, and cultural exchanges with other institutes.
