What is the consequence of the Friday gas pipeline explosion?

An explosion Friday at a gas pipeline that runs from Iran to Turkey has disrupted gas exports, Iran’s semi official Fars News Agency reported. The explosion occurred early in the morning in a part of the pipeline that is in Turkish territory near the border with Iran, the news agency said. The explosion could cause a halt in gas exports to Turkey for up to three days, the agency reported. Authorities did not know what caused the blast but firefighters were able to extinguish the fire that came after the explosion.
