答案Dear sir or madam: I am writing this letter to make comments on the problems brought by the practice of national golden week holidays. As we all know, the seven-day holidays in May and October offer people a good opportunity to get relaxed and have fun. More importantly, the shopping and travel spree during the golden weeks has brought tremendous profits to tourist, commercial, transportation, civil aviation, telecommunication, hotel, catering and recreational services. However, as one coin has two sides, the problems caused by golden week are also obvious. The worst two are the increasing traffic pressure and environmental pollution. During the holidays, you may find the roads awfully crowded because almost everyone’s out. The situation is worse for someone driving a car. She/He will surly be stuck in the heavy traffic. Pollution is another problem that cannot be ignored. It might be true that pollution comes as soon as a tour starts. Since golden week sees more tours than as usual, the environment of various places of interest worsens. It is likely that the scenic spots will be strewn with litter with so many tourists visiting at the same time. As an ordinary citizen, I do hope the Golden week can be managed and ruled within much stronger and clearer regulations. My suggestions are to enhance the level of infrastructure and publicize Civility and Etiquette to general public. I am sure with the efforts of government’s agencies the next golden week will be worth expecting. Yours sincerely, Li Ming
