On its desirability, there exist two types of viewpoints, and both parties claim to be in the right. In my opinion, the disadvantages of this practice outweigh the advantages. Teachers should be more prudent and humane in treating their students. Both students and teachers should spare no efforts to develop active and proper methods in education and discipline students rather than impose corporal punishment on them.
