Nowadays many famous pop and sports stars have very high incomes. On the other hand, most people in ’ ordinary’ professions like nurses, doctors and teachers earn only a small fraction of the incomes of these stars.
What do you think of stars receiving very high salaries? Is it fair that people with jobs that directly help people are paid much less? Write an essay in about 180 words to state your opinions. Write the essay on the answer sheet.

答案
Nowadays, people are criticizing entertainers’ receiving high salaries for they are giving less but gaining more. In my opinion, stars in the entertainment business indeed are overpaid. It’s true that stars of sport, films or popular music are popular among all ages of people, but the amount of money that they are able to earn cannot match what they have done. However, we can’t neglect the fact that those stars who get most paid usually face great pressure and competition, especially sports stars. They will soon be replaced by next younger and more energetic generation. The same thing happens to film stars that once their faces turn old, they would be quickly out of sight. So this may be relatively showing that short working life is worth a very high payment. Unfortunately, professionals from other fields, who make great contributions to the society are paid so much less than entertainers, hence it’s hard to stand by stars’ side. Doctors, teachers, nurses, and scientific researchers are never listed among the best-paid professions. Yet they are so important for the well-being and development of human. In conclusion, I support that it’s unfair that entertainers earn such high salaries. At the same time, vital professionals like doctors and researchers should be more appreciated and better paid.
