It is fair to say that innovation is the key to the sustained success of a company and a nation. Despite the benefits of innovation, many companies and people are not ready to embrace innovation. Instead, they rely on copying and imitating others’ products to run their business. That is also why counterfeits and shoddy commodities are standing in the way of the real products. As far as I am concerned, it is imperative that government strengthen the law-enforcement to deter the illegal practices of making counterfeits. Besides, favorable policies, such as tax reduction, should be enacted to encourage business owners to create new products and new concepts.
