答案 Getting More Certificates or Not? In recent years, there has been a new craze of getting more certificates among college students. Many students spend their whole spare time preparing for a certificate, some even getting one at the price of giving up their routine study. For this phenomenon different people hold different views. Some think it helps the students to learn something more than the textbook and benefits their job hunting after graduation. However, others strongly believe that getting certificates costs too much time and money and will be a heavy load for the students both mentally and economically. As for me, I think it is reasonable for college students to get some certificates. The reasons may be listed as follows: First, getting a certificate reinforces our normal study. A certificate related to our majors provides a good chance to test our study and urges us to work harder on it. Second, the employment pressure forces us to get more certificates. With the admission expansion of colleges, a lot more graduates have to face the fierce competition in the job market. More certificates at hand seem to be a good way to make us more competitive. Besides, diploma and certificates are still important standards to measure a person’s ability. To increase the qualifications for a job, we have no other choice but to compel ourselves to run from one exam to another. To sum up, out of the consideration of employment and self improvement, it is beneficial for college students to get some certificates, taking full use of their spare time.
