答案Dear Sir or Madam, We write to introduce ourselves as an auto parts factory jointly invested by China and Australia. At present we are very much interested in a short-term business English training course for our staff, especially the management, since we have to communicate a lot in English both internally and externally. Most of our management, however, are good only at reading but are weak at speaking, listening and writing. We want the course to be conducted at our factory for five months from August to December, ten teaching periods a week. After this training course, they should be able to a) understand everyday English conversation at the speed of 100 - 120 words per minute; b) express themselves orally explicitly with possibly minor grammatical errors when they are placed in their work place; c) understand work-related both internal and external communication at the reading speed of 80 - 100 words per minute; d) write business-related internal and external communication at the speed of around 300 words per hour. The emphasis should be not only on the accurate reporting of facts, but als0 register, cohesion and the range of structures and language used. At the end of the course a simulated test is to be given in the above four aspects. Then we will consider if it is necessary to arrange more business training courses for more staff of our factory.
