Many college students justify their life dependent on others on the grounds that they suffer bitter college life and should be given extra help. As a result, they get lost in pursuing their own comfort and forget their duties. Additionally, parents, only caring about the academic performance, fail to take into account the cultivation of children’s spirit of independence. Fortunately, many college students have been launching the "weaning action" , which is positively responded by a large number of students. Independence is an integral component of a person’s overall health. Hence, improving the kids’ self-reliance is supposed to be the first priority after entering universities. As for kids themselves, they should establish the confidence in self-reliance ; as for colleges, self-improvement and labor education should be reinforced but not weakened year by year.
