                  Why People Choose Online Education?
   Getting on the degree path that’s right for you is a big decision for many—and not something to take lightly. As employers demand more skills from employees, the demand for online degree programs has increased. In fact, within the United States, 6.7 million students enrolled in at least one online course in fall 2011—an increase of more than 500,000 students compared to 2010.
   "Each student learns differently and in today’s era of increasing technology, the question will not be whether to offer classes online, but rather how to implement them," says Allison Hiltz, a former online and traditional education student who writes for The Book Wheel Blog.
   There are several options when it comes to online or traditional education degrees. The platform offers everything from certificates and diplomas to more advanced degree options such as an associate or bachelor’s degree.
   With constant changes in technology from all different degree programs, let’s take a look at the advantages of an online education:
   Flexibility was a major concern for Casey Horton, a graduate of sociology and psychology from Ashford University. Horton, a working adult, needed an online program because of the convenience it offered. "If you are raising a family, working and can’t find a job that offers a flexible schedule, then online is the best way," Horton says.

答案 Online Education Will Not Replace Traditional Education With the rapid development of modern technology, the people pursuing a degree by way of online education have dramatically increased. They choose online education simply because it offers them the flexibility to attend online classes while the traditional education does not. Given the advantage of online education, will it replace the traditional one? My answer would be no. To begin with, E-education isn’t suitable to the circumstances of the big developing countries, such as China. As we all know, China is still a developing country with a large population. It is difficult to have advanced equipment and multi-media labs essential for online education in remote areas of China. Even in cities, not every school can afford so many teaching facilities to conduct E-education, let alone in western poor regions of China, But traditional education doesn’t need so much expensive advanced equipment. What is more, E-education lacks the humane atmosphere which is important in teaching and learning process. Online education is mainly carried out with computers so the communication between teachers and students is performed by tapping the keys on the keyboards. On the contrary, in traditional education, teachers and students can exchange views directly and face to face. In a word, E-education can be viewed as a complementary part of education system, rather than as a substitute for traditional education.
