Read the following text from a discussion in which five persons talked about the factors important to a student’s study performance. For questions 61 to 65, match each person ( 61 to 65 ) to one of the statements (A to G) given below. Mark your answers on ANSWER SHEET 1.
Paul Smith:
Hello, everyone. Today let’s talk about study performance. Perhaps you are an average student with average intelligence that you will never become a top student. This is not necessarily the case, however. In my opinion, our concentration on studies is of most importance to us. Concentrating on our studies, everyone is likely to be a top student without additional work. Now it’s for each of you to discuss how we manage it.
Carol:
From my personal experience, the planning of time is of the greatest importance. We must make a list of our weekly tasks. Then make a schedule or chart of the time. Fill in committed time such as eating, sleeping, meetings, classes, etc. Then decide on good, regular times for studying. Good planning will make you more aware of how you spend your time. Furthermore, it will enable you t9 plan your activities so that you have ad equate time for both work and play.
Siemon:
As to me, it is important to develop a good attitude about tests. The purpose of a test is to show what you have learned about a subject. So don’t worry excessively about a single test. Tests provide grades, but they also let us know that we need to spend more time studying, and they help make our new knowledge permanent.
Laura:
I do think that study place is critical in our study. A good study area is supposed to improve our study efficiency. It may be a desk or a chair at home or in the school library, but it should be comfortable, and it should not have distractions. When you begin to work, you should be able to concentrate on the subject.
Davis:
I think regularity matters a lot. In class, we should listen carefully to what the teacher says, go over the notes as soon as possible after class and review important points mentioned in class as well as those we remain confused about. This will help us understand the class better. If we review the notes and textbook regularly, the material will become more meaningful and you will remember it longer.
Now match each of the persons (61 to 65) to the appropriate statement.
Note: there are two extra statements.
Statements
[A] To ensure your study efficiency, you should choose a good study area.
[B] If you set your mind on your studies, you’ll become a top one.
[C] Regularity plays nothing more than anything in studies.
[D] Regularity plays an critical role in our studies.
[E] Your school performance depends on your study habits.
[F] We should develop a good attitude towards tests.
[G] It’s important to have a good planning of our school time
Carol
选项
答案
G。
解析
在这篇材料中,其他几名发言者的第一句话都直接提出了发言者自己的观点,答题时相对较为容易。就本题来说,Carol的第一句话中提到:the planning of time is of the greatest importance,表明她强调的是对学习时间的计划,选项中只有[C] 提到了planning一词,因此是正确答案。
