答案 Our University Our university is located in the center of Nanjing, which is a university whose origin can go back to 1902, when it was established as the first Industrial Institute in Nanjing. Opportunity for its expansion came only after 1949, when a move was made to the present campus, which covers about 800,000 square meters, with a total floor space of 600,000 square meters, including three campuses. There are about 50 departments that offer a total of 60 majors to over 25,000 on-campus students including about 300 students from foreign countries. All the departments are authorized to confer MS and Ph. D degrees. Master’s degree courses are offered by more than 50 majors. In addition, doctoral programs are offered in many departments. The university has very fine facilities for teaching and scientific research, such as the International Online Information Retrieval Center that can connect with DIALOG and BRS systems in the United States.
