答案 There was a great geologist named Xu Xiake in Ming Dynasty. He was so fond of reading history, geology, adventure and travelogue that he was determined to embark on career of traveling after growing up to explore mystery of beautiful native natural scenery . With his mother’s support, Xu stepped out on his adventure at the year of 22. Xu Xiake traveled around 16 provinces, covering nearly the whole China. He carefully studied climates, topographical features and plant life of different places, leaving the most exhaustive meteorological observation record in ancient China. Later, his handwritten diaries were made into " The Travelogue of Xu Xiake" , which is not only a geological and natural encyclopedia and travelling guide, but a vivid historical record of common people life in later Ming Dynasty.
