答案 From the graph we can see clearly the change progress of car accidents in the city from month to month in 2012. Generally speaking ,the number of accidents increased rapidly to 32 during the period from January to March. Then the rate fell gradually from 32 in March to 26 in June.From then on, however , the number went up sharply, finishing at 39 in August. Fortunately, the rise lasted for three months and then began to drop steadily in the last four months of the year. It’s not difficult to come up with some possible factors accounting for the decline of car accidents in the city.The first one is people driving with great care,which might have been the main reason for the decrease. In addition, it must be pointed out that several new avenues have been constructed, which will, undoubtedly, bring about improvements in road condi-tions.The last factor that may be responsible for this situation is that pedestrians paid great attention to the city’s traffic regulations. On the whole, all these factors resulted in the drop of car accidents in the city in 2012. And I strongly believe that with the advancement of people’s safety sense and the corresponding policies carried out, the trend that involved a downward direction will continue for quite a while in the forthcoming year.
