   Nearly 32 000 students are enrolled in undergraduate, graduate and doctoral programmes in 12 faculties and nine schools. Of the more than 2 000 full-and-part-time faculty members, 70 percent hold the high degrees possible in their specific field.
   Its library is the second-largest university library in the country with approximately 3 million: volumes. UBC also boasts a fine arts gallery, Asian centre, numerous museums, speciality gardens and a research forest.
