Thomas J. Hanks is one of the most popular movie stars in the USA. He was born on July 9 th, 1956 in California. His father is an itinerant cook who holds an unstable relationship with his wife and he experiences several marriages. Hanks said he had "three mothers" by the time he was ten years old, however , he still hates to be called a boy from "a broken home" for the reason that he feels he and his family are still close. Thomas J. Hanks has been interested in acting in his early age and he began to perform in high school. He won his first Oscar nomination for Penny Marshall’s Big. He is a genius in acting. In 1994 and 1995 he received two Best Actor Academy which made him the first actor in over 50 years to win consecutive Best Actor Academy A-wards.
