Which of the following stock indexes got the highest rising percentage, more than 1% ?
Stocks climbed at Tuesday’s opening bell, boosted by technology shares, as last week’s momentum swept over into a new week with the help of a handful of reassuring corporate outlooks. The Dow Jones industrials rose 75 points, or 0.96 percent, to 7.984. The Standard &Poor’s 500 added 7 points, or 0.95 percent, to 842. The Nasdaq Composite jumped 17 points, or 1.30 percent, to 1,327. Wall Street was shut on Monday for the Presidents Day holiday, and investors returning to work on Tuesday in parts of the Eastern United States found commutes longer. A blizzard closed major airports, stranded thousands of travelers and buried much of the Northeast under several feet of snow.
选项
A、opened on Monday even though it was snowing
B、did not open on Monday because of closed airports
C、did not open on Monday because of heavy snow
D、did not open on Monday because of a holiday
答案
D
