    Walt Disney, 【B4】 created this lovable cartoon (卡通) 【B5】 , was born in Chicago in 1901. Later his family moved to a farm near Kansas City, where Walt worked for a time 【B6】 a newsboy. But 【B7】 he really enjoyed was drawing pictures.
    Later, when Walt went back to Chicago he studied cartooning at the Chicago Academy of Fine Arts.  His education was interrupted when World War I 【B8】 in 1914. Though he was not 【B9】 old enough to join thd army, he wanted to 【B10】 in some way. He joined the Red Cross and went to France, where he stayed 【B11】 the war was over.
    After the war, Disney returned to Kansas City to work for a com- pany that made fairy (小妖精,仙女) story cartoons. This was the kind of work he liked best. He made up his mind to 【B12】 better ways of making the cartoons 【B13】 , so that the cartoon characters would seem 【B14】 . He bought an old movie camera and made a few things in his garage. In 1923 he 【B15】 his elder brother, Roy, in Hollywood, California, where they soon 【B16】 their own company.
